The Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships 2027/28 are now open for Pakistani students who want to study a full-time taught Master’s degree in the United Kingdom with full funding. Offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK, this is one of the most generous scholarship routes available to Pakistan, and the commission confirms Pakistan is an eligible country for the 2027/28 round.
What the scholarship covers
Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships are fully funded awards for talented and motivated individuals from eligible Commonwealth countries. Successful candidates receive funding for a one-year taught Master’s programme at a UK university, including tuition fees, living costs and return airfare. The scholarship enables students who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development.
Key dates for the 2027/28 round
- Applications close: 16:00 BST on Tuesday, 20 October 2026
- Study begins: September/October 2027
Missing the October deadline means waiting a full year for the next round, so start your application well in advance.
How to apply from Pakistan
Applications must be submitted through the CSC’s online application system (CSC Central). In addition to the CSC application, you must apply to a participating nominator in Pakistan โ the CSC does not accept direct applications without nomination. Typical steps are: check your eligibility on the CSC website, prepare your academic documents and references, submit the CSC Central application before the deadline, and complete your nominator’s parallel application.
